Frequently asked questions
Is my data stored in the cloud?
No. Everything you add — characters, perks, deck state, settings — is stored locally on your device only. There is no account, no sync, and no Attack Deck server. Deleting the app deletes all your data. See the privacy policy for details.
How do I toggle a perk?
Open a character from the party screen and tap any perk checkbox. The attack modifier deck rebuilds automatically — there's no save button. You can untoggle a perk at any time and the deck adjusts to match.
Why is a class shown as a strange code name like "Lightning"?
That's the class's canonical Gloomhaven Secretariat code name — it's how Gloomhaven hides the names of unlockable classes you haven't earned yet. Tap the row to reveal the real name when your group unlocks it. This keeps the picker spoiler-safe by default.
How do I change the language?
Open Settings from the party screen header and pick a language. The app auto-detects your device language on first launch but you can override it manually. Currently supported: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian. (Perk descriptions remain in English in v1.)
Does it work offline?
Yes, completely. The app never makes a network request after install. All class data, perks, and deck composition are bundled with the app and resolved on-device. Airplane mode is fine.
I think a perk is transcribed incorrectly — what do I do?
Please report it — perk data is the heart of the app. Email support@30str.com with the class name, perk number, and what the correct text/effect should be. Most fixes ship in the next over-the-air update without a new app review.
